Welcome to Fluent Waves. These Terms of Service govern your use of the Fluent Waves website, learning platform, online lessons, booking services, and related features.

1. About Fluent Waves

Fluent Waves provides English language learning services, including online lessons, tutoring, learning materials, scheduling and related educational services.

Fluent Waves is based in Granada, Spain.

2. Using the Fluent Waves Website

You may use the Fluent Waves website and learning platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms of Service.

You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts, or use the service in a way that could damage Fluent Waves or other users.

3. Accounts and User Information

Some Fluent Waves services may require you to provide information such as your name, email address, or other information necessary to provide the service.

If you have an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for activity carried out through your account.

Fluent Waves may provide individual or group English lessons, online tutoring, learning activities, and other educational services.

The availability, duration, price, and specific conditions of lessons may vary depending on the service or booking arrangement.

Educational results cannot be guaranteed. Progress depends on factors including attendance, participation, practice, prior knowledge, and individual circumstances.

5. Lesson Bookings

Lessons may be arranged directly with Fluent Waves or through third-party booking services such as TidyCal.

When a lesson is booked through a third-party booking service, additional terms or policies of that service may also apply.

Please provide reasonable notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Any applicable cancellation or rescheduling conditions may depend on the specific lesson or booking arrangement.

6. Online Lessons and Whereby

Online lessons may use Whereby or other third-party communication and video-conferencing services.

Use of those services may be subject to the third party's own terms and privacy policies.

Fluent Waves is not responsible for interruptions or technical problems caused by third-party platforms, internet service providers, devices, or other systems outside our reasonable control.

7. Google Calendar Integration

Fluent Waves may use Google Calendar to help tutors manage lesson availability and appointments.

The Google Calendar integration is intended to provide read-only access to the relevant tutor calendar.

Students do not need to connect their personal Google Calendars in order to use the Fluent Waves learning services.

Use of Google Calendar through Fluent Waves is also subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.

8. Third-Party Services

Fluent Waves may use third-party services to provide or support its services. These may include services used for scheduling, online lessons, analytics, hosting, authentication, and other technical functions.

Third-party services operate independently and may have their own terms, privacy policies, and service limitations.

Examples of third-party services used by Fluent Waves may include:

• Google services, including Google Calendar
• Whereby for online video lessons
• TidyCal for scheduling and bookings
• Google Analytics for website analytics

9. Payments and Fees

Where Fluent Waves services are provided for a fee, the applicable price and payment conditions will be communicated at the time of booking or purchase.

Different lesson arrangements may have different payment, cancellation, or refund conditions.

If a payment is processed through a third-party payment provider, that provider's terms and policies may also apply.

10. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Fluent Waves website, branding, logos, original learning materials, text, graphics, software, and other content provided by Fluent Waves are owned by or licensed to Fluent Waves.

You may use Fluent Waves educational materials for your own personal learning purposes unless otherwise permitted.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, publicly publish, or commercially exploit Fluent Waves materials without prior permission, except where permitted by applicable law.

11. User-Provided Content

If you provide information, messages, documents, recordings, assignments, or other content to Fluent Waves as part of the learning service, you remain responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to provide that content.

You should not provide confidential information belonging to another person or organization unless you are authorized to do so.

12. Acceptable Use

You must not use Fluent Waves services to:

• Violate applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
• Disrupt or interfere with the operation of the website or learning platform.

19. Google Account and Calendar Access

If you authorize Fluent Waves to access a Google service, you can revoke that access through your Google Account settings.

Fluent Waves does not require students to connect their personal Google Calendar accounts. Google Calendar integration is intended primarily for the management of tutor availability and appointments.

20. Children's Use

Fluent Waves may provide educational services to learners of different ages. Where a learner is a minor, a parent or legal guardian may be responsible for arranging or supervising the learner's use of the service where appropriate.

Nothing in these Terms of Service removes any rights or protections provided to minors under applicable law.

21. Changes to These Terms

Fluent Waves may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to the service, legal requirements, or operational practices.

The updated version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
